Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s was arrested after failing to stop, dangerous driving and being under the influence of drugs.
The officers pursued a white Ford Transit van through Diss, Roydon and Freezen Hill before he was eventually stopped in Wortham.
The driver reached speeds of up to 50mph and mounted the pavement during the pursuit by two marked police cars.
Insp Jason Selvarajah said: “We take road safety very seriously and understand this is one of the local priorities raised through community engagement.
“In the space of two hours a further two vehicles were seized in and around Diss after being found to have no insurance.
“We use automatic number plate recognition and professional judgement to stop vehicles and a reason to do so isn’t required.”
Police had initially attempted to stop the Ford Transit van on Shelfanger Road in Diss due to its manner of driving however it was not until five miles later that it eventually stopped near Wortham cemetery.
Insp Selvarajah added: “A local man in his 20s remains under investigation and thankfully no one was hurt.”
Another individual was also stopped by police the day before after being spotted driving at 60mph with a mobile phone to his ear.
Anyone who saw the van being followed by police, particularly on the A1066 from Diss towards Roydon at about 9pm on Friday March 30 is encouraged to contact Sgt 3449 Williams at Diss Police Station.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident.
