A family with Norfolk connections is holding an annual reunion at Wymondham on Saturday.

The Rix Family Alliance was born almost 30 years ago, after one of the founders decided to find out more about their ancestors, and membership is spread across the UK and round the globe.

Each year they arrange to meet up, put names to faces, and swap information. Everyone is encouraged to bring along their laptops, photos, family tree printouts and details that may help trace a long lost family member.

The event takes place from 10am to 4pm at Ketts Park Community Centre in Hart's Farm Road. Anyone named Rix, Rixon, Ricks, or any variant, is invited to come along.

A 1.00 entrance fee to cover hall and refreshment costs is charged, and lunch can be provided at a small additional cost.

The Alliance is a registered member of the Federation of Family History Societies and the Guild of One Name Studies.

Further details can be obtained from Sheelagh Rix on 07780 986053, or Sue Simpson on 01953 454404 or 07748 500591.
