And she is hoping the Harleston community and beyond will pull together to support the event to raise the much needed funds.

Marina Webb from Harleston is godmother to the younger brother and sister of seventeen-year-old Kyle Warren who died when his car hit a tree in Pulham Market in April.

The mother and family friend is determined to help the family by raising funds for Nelson's Journey a charity that supports bereaved children.

At the moment Kyle's family are on the waiting list to receive support from the charity that aims to bring back a smile to those who have lost a loved one.

Marina Webb said: ' The charity is very close to the heart of the Harleston community at the moment.

'We have had two tragic accidents this year where a number of children have lost loved ones.

'I thought about what I could do and decided nobody has done a garage and yard sale before so I'll do it.

'I wanted to get the community involved so I advertised on Facebook.

'I aimed to get thirty stalls but ended up getting eighty - the whole thing has just taken off.

Maps showing where the stalls are situated can be bought for 50p from McColl's Newsagent in Harleston or The Original Factory Shop.

All proceeds from the maps will go to Nelson's Journey as well as donations from stall holders.

'There will be anything and everything on sale', said Marina Webb

'From garden equipment to tools, books, dvd's and lots more.

'We are encouraging people to grab a bargain and wander around a pretty town.

'We just ask one thing - that the public would drive and park responsibly around the town.'

The event will take place on Sunday July 16, 10 - 2pm and maps will be needed to locate the stalls around the town.

Maps can also be bought at 23 Briar Road, Harleston 1P20 9DU.
