Farmers again help to keep A140 clear of snow

Farmers have again been hard at work this morning to keep the A140 clear after more snow fell overnight.
Jonathan ‘Jono’ Nurse and Jonathan Alexander have been out working on the section from Long Stratton to Pulham Market since 5am.
The pair also braved the freezing temperatures and drifting snow on Thursday night in an effort to clear the which had been impassable during the day.
By 11am yesterday -with the help of farmers Ray Ford, Graham Moore and Robert Alexander, and Chris Kent of Kent Skips - the road had been cleared.
To make sure the fresh snow fall did not once again block the road, Mr Nurse and Mr Alexander have been out ploughing.
Open fields run alongside that stretch of the A140 which meant snow had been drifting in and causing feet of snow to build up.
Mr Moore and Robert Alexander have also joined the effort and are now passing through the surrounding villages and rural roads in the Pulhams, Starston and Harleston area.
Although passable people should drive with care.
