Fire fighters in Long Stratton will be taking part in a nationwide charity car wash day on Saturday.
From 10am, they will be poised at the village fire station, complete with buckets and sponges, to offer drivers the chance to brush up on their knowledge of home fire safety whilst their cars receive a gleaming polish.
Charity donations are invited with funds going to The Fire Fighters Charity, the official organisation which assists injured fire fighters and their families during times of need.
The national fundraising event is supported by TV presenter Fern Britton, co-host of This Morning, who will be washing cars at Beaconsfield Fire Station in Buckenhamshire.
