The organiser of a town's festival say 2019's event promises to be its biggest family fun day so far.
The Harleston and Waveney Festival, from Tuesday, August 20 until Monday, August 26, is back for another year when venues across the town will be alive with activity, and packed with visitors and locals.
The U3A Ukuleles played at King George's Hall, kicking off the week with their 6th consecutive annual concert of feel-good songs.
The Watermills of the Waveney valley held an illustrated presentation and talk at St John's Church on Wednesday 21.
That same evening the festival's popular Rotary quiz was held at the Swan Hotel.
Visitors travelled back in time, taking a historic tour of the Waveney Valley over the last four centuries with a local historian, on Thursday 22.
Carrying on the week, The Solo Beatles are a must see for any Beatles fans, playing at St John's Church on at 7.30pm at August 24. Tickets are £10 available from The Card and Party Shop, Market Square, Harleston.
On August 25, a special walk will include 500-year-old tales of Harleston. These true stories are said to surprise those who hear them. The walk starts at the Swan Hotel at 2pm.
Finally, the free family fun day will take place on Harleston recreation ground from 11am to 4pm on August 26, the bank holiday Monday, featuring a children's mini fairground and petting zoo, arts and crafts, and a fancy dress competition.
There will also be a large variety of quirky and creative stalls, food, a licensed bar, bands, a classic car procession and work shown by talented artists.
Tanya Seeley, organiser of the fun day, and owner of the Fox on the Rocks, said: "We put on wonderful events throughout the year but this one there is something for everyone in the family.
"It's the biggest one yet, there is something happening throughout the course of the day that could interest the whole family.
"Stay local and be entertained on the park. It will be lovely."
