Motorists are facing disruption as pavement repairs are set to see temporary traffic lights installed on one of the main roads in Harleston.

Work to carry out essential maintenance work on the pavement along London Road, from number two to the junction of Wilderness Lane, is set to begin on Monday, July 29.

It is anticipated that the work will take approximately two weeks to complete, subject to suitable weather conditions.

The road will remain open throughout the roadworks but traffic will be controlled by three-way traffic lights. A pedestrian walkway will be provided during construction.

London Road is one of the main thoroughfares into the town centre and provides access to businesses including the Original Factory Shop and the Esso garage and new Budgens store.

Norfolk County Council, which is carrying out the £9,500 pavement work, said it thanked people for their patience while the essential maintenance was being carried out.
