A home care provider has moved to new premises offering more space and a more visual location.
First Choice Home Care, which used to be based at Diss Driving Range, has now moved into Mere Street, in the town centre, to take advantage of the greater office space provided.
Jenny Daynes, registered manager at First Choice, said the care provider was also looking to recruit more staff to help the growing number of people using the service, which currently stands at 80.
She added her team provided everything from personal care to help with household and shopping chores, as well as sitting services and night sleep-ins.
Anyone aged over 18 and living within a 10-mile radius of Diss could receive help from the service, which includes people suffering from medical conditions such as dementia.
So far, there are 40 staff with First Choice. However more are needed to cope with a workload that has increased from 380 hours a week, when the care provider first opened two years ago, to nearly 600 hours a week now.
The majority of service users are private, although some come through contracts with authorities such as Suffolk County Council and Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Mrs Daynes added: “It is about having more space, but we are more visual to people here.
“I think that we will be seen here and it is all about providing local people with jobs in the local area.”
