Hilda Frances Hubbard (known as Frances) died at her home on Churchill Place on Sunday September 23, with armed officers called to the scene at around 10.30am to reports of a stabbing.

Mrs Hubbard was pronounced dead at the scene, with a post-mortem finding the cause of death to be multiple stab wounds.

At Norfolk Coroner’s Court today (3), senior coroner Jacqueline Lake opened the inquest into her death, with a conclusion expected early next year.

The inquest has now been adjourned until January 7 2019.

A man in his 80s, understood to be her partner Michael Hubbard, was arrested in connection with the incident and was released under investigation while enquiries continue. He has since been detained under the Mental Health Act.
