Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding a crash between a light goods vehicle and a car at a blind bend near Eye.

A woman in her 50s was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital after suffering serious leg injuries and a fractured wrist following the accident on the B1077 at the junction with Cranley Green Road at 12.35pm on Monday, February 25.

Two men also sustained injuries and were taken by ambulance to Ipswich Hospital.

The road was closed between Eye and Occold for three hours while emergency service dealt with the collision between a flatbed light goods vehicle and Vauxhall Vectra car.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said no indication of the cause had yet been determined and investigations were continuing into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Witnesses or anyone who may have dash-cam footage is being urged to contact Suffolk police on 101.
