Police are investigating a break-in at a house in Palgrave where jewellery was among items stolen.

Burglars forced their way into a property on Lion Road sometime between 1.50pm and 3.30pm on Sunday (June 16).

An untidy search was carried out and a number of items were stolen, including jewellery, bank cards, cash and personal documentation.

The thieves are believed to have entered by a side gate. A wheelie bin was also stolen, possibly to transport the stolen items.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the offenders or witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the break-in.
