A 76-year-old man died at a nursing home after sustaining a traumatic head injury while on holiday, an inquest has heard.
John Spicer died at his home address at Walcot Hall nursing home in Diss on May 25.
At his inquest opening on Thursday, Norfolk Coroner's Court heard Mr Spicer had been on holiday when he sustained a traumatic head injury as a result of a fall.
His medical cause of death was given as aspiration pneumonia, subarachnoid haemorrhage - a stroke caused by bleeding into the space surrounding the brain - and Parkinson's disease.
Senior coroner for Norfolk Jacqueline Lake told the court Mr Spicer was born on September 10, 1942, in Harrow, Middlesex, and was a retired underwriter.
She adjourned the inquest to take place on September 4.
