In Diss, events are running at the Taylor Road Meeting Room and there are spaces currently available on Level 1 Award in Food Safety Awareness, Digital Photography, First Time On-line, Make Your Money Work and It's Not What You Wear, run by Norfolk based image consultant Claire Bunton. This workshop is great fun and shows how wearing the right colours and shapes for your colouring and body shape helps create the right impression. Make Your Money Work will give you some tips to help you budget and get the most out of your money; very important in these challenging times.

In Wymondham, workshops are running at the Silfield Community Resource Centre and Wymondham Learning Centre. There are places waiting to be filled on Grow your own for novice gardeners, Shopping On-line and Keeping the Kids Safe on the Internet which is aimed at parents concerned about what their children are up to when they sit for hours in front of the computer.

The first Girls and Gaskets, a hands-on basic car maintenance workshop for women run by Caroline's Cars of Ashwellthorpe, has proven very popular and is full. However, another workshop can be arranged so register your interest now to avoid disappointment.

Annette James, Wymondham Learning Initiative Projects Manager, said: 'We have organised these events for Saffron Housing Trust, who are very keen to promote learning for all. We are delighted to offer any spare places to everyone, whether a Saffron resident or not, at no cost to the learner. This is a great opportunity to meet different people whilst having fun learning something new in a friendly and supportive environment.'

All the events are free and are running now until May. Wymondham Learning Initiative is coordinating the programme and taking bookings. Learn more by contacting Karen or Louise at Wymondham Learning Centre on 01953 600737 or by e-mail at info@wymondhamlearning.org.uk
