A campaign to make a south Norfolk village and the surrounding area a Dementia friendly community is being launched with a free event.

On Wednesday, June 20, residents of Long Stratton and its surrounding villages are being invited to attend Wacton Village Hall to discover more about a bid to build a dementia friendly community in the area.

Organised by South Norfolk Council in partnership with the organisation Dementia Friends.

The event will start with a Dementia Friends Session which is open to all and will be followed by a discussion on the topic of ‘Dementia Friendly Long Stratton’. During the evening there will be refreshments including hot dogs and freshly made teas, cakes and coffee available. A licensed bar run by the Wacton Village Hall social club will also be open on the night.

For more information on the initiative contact South Norfolk Council’s Community team on 01508 533633.
