A campaign to make a south Norfolk village and the surrounding area a Dementia friendly community is being launched with a free event.

On Wednesday, June 20, residents of Long Stratton and its surrounding villages are being invited to attend Wacton Village Hall to discover more about a bid to build a dementia friendly community in the area.

Organised by South Norfolk Council in partnership with the organisation Dementia Friends.

The event will start with a Dementia Friends Session which is open to all and will be followed by a discussion on the topic of 'Dementia Friendly Long Stratton'. During the evening there will be refreshments including hot dogs and freshly made teas, cakes and coffee available. A licensed bar run by the Wacton Village Hall social club will also be open on the night.
