A collection of sought-after vintage Louis Vuitton bags have sold for more than £7,500 at an auction in Norfolk.
Seven bags and pieces of 1950s luggage, all the distinctive dark brown colour with all-over gold monograms associated with Louis Vuitton, went under the hammer at a vintage fashion and furnishings sale at TW Gaze in Diss.
A vintage Alzer 75 suitcase alone sold for £4,000. A square shaped Louis Vuitton beauty case with a cowhide interior went on to fetch £1,600. Other items included a travel handbag that sold for £750, a travel bag bought for £550, a hunting travel bag for £500, an Alize 2 travel bag for £440 and a garment suit bag for £420.
Founded in Paris in 1854, Louis Vuitton gained it reputation from travel trunks and leather goods but has evolved into a luxury fashion brand.
Other items sold in the auction included a Christian Dior pink coral silk dress and a Gucci canvas monogram bucket bag.
