Town centre residents are being warned to expect some disruption next month when resurfacing and bollard replacement works begin in Mere Street, Diss.
The �47,000 scheme will see the mainly pedestrianised part of the town's high street closed to traffic on Sunday March 1 and for two days the following week.
Mere Street will be shut from the Market Place to Chapel Street on March 1 and traffic will be diverted via Church Street and Chapel Street.
During the resurfacing work on March 8 and 9, the diversion route will be extended via Frenze Road, Skelton Road and Victoria Road and Chapel Street will operate under a temporary two way traffic control order.

A Norfolk County Council spokesman said that there would be no onsite works and traffic would operate as normal between March 2 and 7 to minimise disruption.
The works will extend from the junction with Chapel Street to a point approx 50 metres north of the junction with A1066 Victoria Road.
