Michael Bolger, from Aslacton has published his first book for adults, Beige Angels.

The 67-year-old said: 'I began writing for children around three years ago with the King Nodge series. King Nodge lives in Nodge Castle and rules over the Nark folk. Their big rivals are the Sarf folk and they always beat them at football. The kids love getting the local references.

'Writing these books meant that the 'big novel' was left dormant for a while. I'm really proud of it and the sequel is 20,000 word in.'

The story of Beige Angels sees main character Mo Mitchell trained to be an angel, and ranges from London to Norfolk to Australia.
