Embattled motorists are again facing delays travelling along the busiest road in Diss with roadworks set to bring three sets of temporary traffic lights.

Motorists are being warned delays are likely on Victoria Road with two-way traffic signals in operation from Monday, June 10 to Thursday, June 13 as Anglian Water installs a new water connection close to the junction with The Old Coaching Place.

Then on June 24 the company will also be excavating and reinstating a damaged manhole at the junction with Sawmill Road.

Meanwhile on August 5 and 6 temporary traffic signals will be in operation as Anglian Water carry out manhole repairs works on the footpath and carriageway between the Vinces Road and Waveney Road junctions.

The works are the latest on the main A1066 road. In January Anglian Water carried out major sewer works that led to lengthy peak time delays. And last November traffic lights were in operation while a new pedestrian and cycle crossing was installed opposite Diss Leisure Centre.
