A MOTHER is 'desperate' for information on the whereabouts of her son after he was reported missing in Germany.

Marian Dyke, who lives in Palgrave near Diss, is urging people to come forward to help her find Christopher James Miles who vanished on Saturday, July 31.

The 28-year-old, who is known to family and friends by the nickname CJ, currently lives in Zell Am See, Austria, where he moved in 2006 from Norwich to take advantage of the region's extreme sports scene.

He was working for the Austrian transfer company, Alpentouristik, and had just finished transporting two guests from the Salzburg Airport to Ruhpolding in Germany, when he disappeared.

Suspicions were raised that something was wrong after he failed to return to his next job.

After conducting a search, police recovered his minibus parked in a train station in Ruhpolding with its lights on and the keys inside.

They also discovered his coat and a wallet, leading them to believe that CJ has no change of clothes and only 50 Euros to his name.

CJ's father, Nick Palmer-Miles, has travelled to Germany to try and find more information about his son.

Mrs Dyke said: 'Everyone in the family is desperate to hear that he is ok and well.

'CJ is a very outgoing, hyperactive, fun loving, thrill seeker, who is always the first one to try anything.

'If there is any information, or if anyone has heard from him in anyway, then please let the Foreign and Commonwealth Office know about it. We just want to know he is ok.'

CJ lived in Norwich for six years at addresses in Speedwell Way, Threescore, Bowthorpe, and Primrose Road, near Riverside.

Popular in the night club scene, he spent some of his time working a Squares bar in Riverside and the former Tombland night club, Ikon, as well as being employed by the Digital Phone Company.

Earlier this year that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

He has two sisters, Rachel Miles, 27, Nikki Miles, 21, and two step brothers, Lee Dyke, 24, and Daniel Dyke, 20. His father, Nick Palmer-Miles, lives in Langar, Nottinghamshire.

Mrs Dyke said she recently had a disagreement with CJ and was worried this might prevent him from getting in contact with her.

Mrs Dyke added: 'I understand if you don't want to speak to me, but we just want to know that you are safe.'

If anyone has any information regarding Christopher James Miles, contact the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 020 7008 1500 and ask for the Consular Directorate.
