A motorist stopped in a South Norfolk village was found to be nearly three times the drink drive limit.
Police stopped the driver in Tibenham in the early hours of Friday morning (February 8). They were subsequently arrested after providing an evidential reading of 95ugs. The legal drink drive limit is 35ugs.
Sgt Chris Harris, of Norfolk & Suffolk Roads & Armed Policing Team, said: “We target all fatal four offences — drink and drugs, speed, mobile phone use and seatbelts — 24 hours, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
“Just because there’s no drink drive campaign, doesn’t mean we won’t be out there conducting checks. We use campaigns to highlight the dangers and consequences of these offences.”
