A Norfolk MP swapped his business suit for a boiler suit when he visited a Wymondham business.
Mid-Norfolk MP George Freeman got into the spirit of the occasion as he visited Caroline's Cars, an all female car garage on Ashwellthorpe Industrial Estate. The pair spoke about the firm's hopes to train apprentice mechanics, and establish links with Lotus and Caterham innovation teams, while encourage more women into the industry.
Caroline Lake, who founded the business in 2004, said: 'George was a great sport, wearing the pink overalls. But we had a serious discussion too about the problems in the garage industry and the difficulties small businesses are facing at the moment.' Mr Freeman added: Caroline's Cars is a great example of Norfolk doing different: a woman entrepreneur starting a great small business in a redundant rail yard, training and employing local youngsters, with a potentially big national business wanting for lack of investment and profile.'
