Police in South Norfolk have stepped up patrols and urged households to remains extra vigilant after burglaries in two villages.

Two homes were burgled in Needham and Bressingham on February 9 prompting police to conduct proactive patrols in surrounding villages to help reassure residents.

Both Needham and Bressingham have seen previous thefts. Last November a car was stolen from outside a house in Needham while several thousand pounds worth of tools were taken in a break-in in Bressingham.

Police have also urged households to review their own security procedures, remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.
