A new cross-boundary network is being set up to support the arts in south Norfolk and north Suffolk.

Artists and art organisations from Diss, Harleston, Bungay, Beccles, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Southwold and Halesworth are invited to join the Waveney and Blyth Valleys Art Forum and attend its official launch at the New Cut in Halesworth on November 6.

This will be the first opportunity for the forum to bring together artists from the two valleys to promote their unique East Anglian identity.

Supporting art inspired by the local landscape, the forum will celebrate and strengthen the culture of the two river valleys and has plans for an arts festival throughout the region in September 2011.

A database of local artist and organisations is currently being compiled as a local networking resource by the forum's coordinators for each of the participating areas.
