A south Norfolk woman has died from her injuries following a hit-and-run collision on Christmas Eve.The 67-year-old woman was in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a serious head injury as a result of the incident in North Green Road, Pulham St Mary.

A south Norfolk woman has died from her injuries following a hit-and-run collision on Christmas Eve.

The 67-year-old woman was in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a serious head injury as a result of the incident in North Green Road, Pulham St Mary.

Police today said that the woman died on Christmas Day at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

She has been named as Katherine Aldridge, from Pulham St Mary. She leaves a husband, two daughters and a grandchild.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Norfolk Police are keen to find a small red vehicle possibly with a windowed van type rear body. The vehicle may have a smashed rear window. A disabled type sticker was possibly in the rear window.

The vehicle was originally on Norwich Road but reversed into North Green Road where it struck the pedestrian at about 6pm on Thursday before driving off down Station Road.

Police are also looking to trace a beige/light coloured saloon car that may have witnessed the incident or was in the vicinity at the time.
