A rural pub forced to close by the weather is opening its doors to emergency services as they help dig drivers out of the snow.
The Old Ram Inn in Tivetshall St Mary has invited uniformed officers through its doors for a hot drink, a rest and a sandwhich despite being unable to open to customers.
Owner Victoria MacDonald said: “Our receptionist Rachel has been stranded there since Tuesday as she can’t get home and no one can get there to relieve her.
“The emergency services have been brilliant digging people out of the snow so we want to offer them something to say thank you.”
Mrs MacDonald also owns several other venues with her partner Grahame and has extended the invite across all of them.
“They are more than welcome to come to our other pubs, the Cellar House, the Buck and the White Lodge, if they want a break,” she added.
