A PATIENT participation group has been launched by the Parish Fields medical practice at Diss.

The initiative will give people the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of the practice which is based at the

health centre in Mount Street.

The patient focus group will meet at the centre four times a year, starting at 7pm on Tuesday, September 30.

“This is an opportunity for patients to tell the practice where their needs lie and how we can best provide services,”

said practice manager Simone Johnson, who is setting up the group.

“Patients can always talk to us about what they need from the service, but we can't always feed back to everyone about what we are doing and how patients have helped in taking the practice forward.”

The work of the group will be reported in the practice newsletter - Parish Fields Panoramic, published four times a year.

Mrs Johnson said all patients were welcome to attend the first meeting.

She added: “But to make sure we have enough space, coffee and biscuits for everyone, please could anyone who would like to come leave their details at reception, or give me a call.”

Mrs Johnson can be contacted at the health centre on 01379 642023.
