Deliveryman nicknamed Thunderbird 4 keeps self-isolators in village stocked-up

A volunteer deliveryman has been praised for going above and received the nicknamed Thunderbird 4.
Phil Pearce has been delivering to people self-isolating in Pulham St Mary in a yellow van, earning himself the nickname.

When Bossy Boots staff had to self-isolate he stepped in to collect stock from the Cash & Carry.
Mr Pearce said: “I can’t work at the moment, so I am more than happy to help out where I can. Everyone is very appreciative and it’s just nice to be doing something to help.
“I have become known as Dick Tracy, the special delivery agent. They’ve made me posters for my van and I even have a hat.”
South Norfolk councillor Clayton Hudson said: “Without any fuss, he has quietly helped keep Bossy Boots going and ensured local people can still use their shop, he should be applauded for his selfless efforts.”
