Every shade of pink and every possible way of displaying it was on show as more than 100 vintages tractors took to the roads of South Norfolk to raise money for breast cancer research.

The Pink Ladies Tractor Road Run returned for its 16th year on Sunday to parade through Harleston, where hundreds of spectators turned out, and across the surrounding villages.

What started out as a spur of the moment idea for organiser Annie Chapman, 77, have become hugely popular, attracting ladies from across the country, many of whom have not driven a tractor before, but most of whom have been touched by breast cancer in some way.

'This little idea has touched so many' - the remarkable success of Pink Ladies Tractor Road Run

The runs have so far raised £640,000, and Mrs Chapman dreams of topping a million by the 20th annual event.
