Police raid Suffolk cannabis factory

Two people have been arrested after police raided a large cannabis factory in north Suffolk this morning .
Officers are currently at the scene of the cannabis farm in Rickinghall, near Diss, following a pre-planned operation carried out by drug, CID and Safer Neighbourhood Team officers.
A 44-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both from Rickinghall, have been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and are currently in custody at Bury St Edmunds police station.
Police will remain at the site this afternoon to recover evidence and dismantle the factory, which was found in a farm outbuilding. It is estimated that around 1,000 plants have been discovered.
Officers urged members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity that may relate to a cannabis factory.
