Spring Gymnastics Satellite club is searching for a new permanent premises after its membership numbers have grown drastically in size since it began in 2012.

With waiting lists full of youngsters already building up, the group is hoping to move to the Diss or south Norwich area.

Currently the club moves to different locations, with 230 gymnasts at its Diss High School group and 140 between Hewett Academy Norwich and Archbishop Sancroft High School.

At the moment the club has to hire the space and move equipment around, which are just some of the reasons Heidi Palmer, head coach, would like to find a permanent base.

She said: 'The next logical step for Spring Gymnastics is a purpose built facility which will enable us to invest in static equipment. We currently have waiting lists for all of our clubs, for both gymnastics and freestyle gymnastics.

'We are really keen to develop the skills of our existing members, as well as enable new members to join.

'We've been looking for a unit for a while now, there just doesn't seem to be any properties on the market which meet our needs.'

The space they require needs to be at least 6000m square feet, double height and have parking available.

The successful club won Active Norfolk's Community Club of the Year in 2014 and is asking anyone with a suitable space for sale to get in touch.

A spokesperson from the Spring Gymnastics Satellite Club, added: 'The gymnasts themselves have also won numerous medals at County Competitions and three of the Spring girls have been selected to become members of the Norfolk County Squad.

'Gymnastics and Freestyle Gymnastics are a great way to improve children's co-ordination and flexibility. Above all, it's a wonderful way for youngsters to exercise and boost their confidence.'
