Motorists could be faced with delays as £19,000 road resurfacing works gets underway on the A1066 Diss Road at Roydon today.

The carriageway surfacing will be from the junction with Denmark Lane towards Roydon for approximately 50 metres.

In a bid to minimise possible traffic disruption it is hoped the work is hoped to be completed in just one day, between 9.30am and 4pm.

Whilst the works to replace the existing worn road surface are in progress today traffic will be controlled using four-way Stop/Go boards. Access to businesses and properties will be maintained but some delays are possible.

A Norfolk County Council spokesman said: 'We would like to thank people for their patience while these works to replace the existing worn out road surface are carried out.'
