Villagers of a small Suffolk village will attend a public meeting to discuss the proposed development of more than 200 houses this evening.

Following an ‘unusually heated’ annual parish council meeting on Tuesday, May 16, Fressingfield Parish council has arranged to hold a new meeting which will focus solely on the proposed housing development in the small North Suffolk Village.

Prue Rush, chairman of Fressingfield Parish Council said: “I hope this meeting will calm things down; there is no doubt this is an over development, we don’t think 200-300 houses is sustainable for a village of our size.”

In a statement on their website the Parish Council said it was keen for all village residents to understand its position on how the village should grow over the next few years.

Parish Council vice chairman Gary Deeks will chair the meeting will take place in Fressingfield Primary School from 7pm.
