Sunny weather certainly lifts the spirits, but eight-year-old Belgian shepherd, Sunny, is hoping to bring happiness to a new family whatever the weather.

Says Kate Brewster, Dogs Trust Snetterton supporter relations officer: 'Sunny is a very special dog, who has already made a lasting impression on the staff here at the centre. Unfortunately his elderly owner could no longer care for him and Sunny was handed over to the centre to help find him a new forever home.

'Prior to arriving at the centre, Sunny had led a sheltered life. Never having been on a collar and lead or out for walks, he can find some experiences a little overwhelming, so he is on the lookout for a quiet rural home, ideally with a large secure garden, where he can roam around to his heart's content.

'Beautiful boy Sunny has come on in leaps and bounds during his training, and has demonstrated what an incredibly intelligent and loving dog he truly is. This handsome hound is very partial to a bit of fuss and attention, and loves a bit of grooming time to keep him looking tip-top. Sunny also really enjoys a tasty treat which will make building a bond with him a fun and rewarding experience for both parties. Sunny is a charming canine with lots of love to give. True to his name, he exudes warmth and will certainly make his new adopters very happy even when the clouds roll in.'
