Police have arrested two men in connection with a fatal road accident that resulted in the tragic death of Harleston teenager Stacey Cutts.

The collision occurred at 9.50pm on Saturday April 25 on the A140 road at Tasburgh, near Norwich.

A 22-year-old man was arrested shortly after the accident, and an 18-year-old man was arrested last Thursday. Both have been spoken to by investigating officers before being released on police bail.

The serious collision investigation team is still keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident, or who may have witnessed the manner of driving of either a black Toyota Celica or a black Peugeot 106 GTI on the A140 between Norwich and Tasburgh at any time prior to the accident.

Miss Cutts was a front seat passenger in the Toyota Celica which left the main A140 road and hit fencing and trees next to the junction with Marlpit Lane, in Tasburgh. The male driver and female rear seat passenger suffered minor injuries.

The tragedy devastated her family who made a public appeal following the accident, urging anyone with information to contact the police investigation team which is based at Wymondham.

Staff and students at Miss Cutts' former high school in Harleston were also stunned, and spoke of their shock at the loss of a “delightful and beautiful” young woman who enhanced any group by her presence.

Police officers have received a positive response from the public, both from witnesses and from other people offering information, and all information given so far is being fully investigated.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact PC Steve Crowley of the serious investigation team on 0845 456 4567.
