The former headteacher of a teenager who died in a road crash has told how she was 'a lovely, popular girl'.
Shannon Gittings died on Wednesday, October 3 after her Fiat 500 collided with a tree, at the A140 Quaker Lane junction, near Tasburgh.
The 17-year-old left Diss High School in 2017 and had started an apprenticeship in Norwich.
Dr Jan Hunt, headteacher, said: 'Shannon was a lovely, popular girl who worked hard in her final year at school and achieved good GCSE results. She was just beginning her career with a bright future ahead of her. The whole school community is devastated at such a tragic loss.'
The funeral service will take place at St Mary's Church, Diss, on Monday, October 22 at 11am followed by burial at Diss Cemetery. Flowers or donations if desired for East Anglian Air Ambulance may be sent c/o Rosedale Funeral Home, 12a Upper Olland Street, Bungay, or www.rosedalefuneralhome.co.uk.
