Two south Norfolk village schools will this month be celebrating the opening of new building extensions.
Forncett Voluntary Aided Primary School is beginning a new chapter in its long history on Friday, June 13 when the Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Rev Graham James, conducts a service of dedication for the much-needed new building.
Pupils who were using mobile buildings have now moved into two “superb” new classrooms. The school also has a new hall for assembly and PE that also enables the children to eat lunch together, a new staff room and library. People are invited to view the new facilities between 6pm and 8.30pm on the Friday evening.
Hapton C of E VC Primary School will be holding the grand opening of its new extension on Friday, June 27. The celebrations include a morning of song, dance and drama by the children as well as an art exhibition and miniature gardens competition, followed by a summer fete and barbecue in the evening.
The opening ceremony will be performed by Bishop James together with the Bishop of Kindu, from the Congo.
