Service for life for former mayor

DISS: A thanksgiving for the life of former town mayor Brian Clark-Taylor will be held at Diss Methodist Church at 3pm tomorrow.

A town and district councillor, Mr Clark-Taylor, 59, lost his battle with cancer on April 18, the disease having claimed the life of his twin sister in 2005.

DISS: A thanksgiving for the life of former town mayor Brian Clark-Taylor will be held at Diss Methodist Church at 3pm tomorrow.

A town and district councillor, Mr Clark-Taylor, 59, lost his battle with cancer on April 18, the disease having claimed the life of his twin sister in 2005.

As a mark of respect, and to enable staff and councillors to attend, Diss Town Council offices will be closed at 2pm.

A short service and cremation will be held at 11.15am at the West Suffolk Crematorium, Risby, Bury St Edmunds, for close friends only, followed by the thanksgiving which is open to all.

No flowers, but donations are invited to Rosedale Funeral Directors, Diss, for the Big C Appeal and the air ambulance.
