Pupils from the federation of Palgrave and Gislingham primary schools took to the stage of Snape Maltings Concert Hall last week as part of A Celebration of Schools' Music.
The children, from Years 5 and 6, performed an adaptation of The Great Blueness, by Arnold Lobel, involving music, song, dance and colour.
Head teacher for both schools in the federation, Angela Hall, said: 'A Celebration of Schools' Music is a prestigious event and it was an honour for us to be accepted to take part. All the children performed beautifully on the evening and were undaunted by either the size of the stage or the size of the audience.
'The children's performance was the first creative culmination of the talents shared by our federated schools. Palgrave and Gislingham pupils spent many hours rehearsing together and I was extremely impressed at how well they all got on and contributed towards making The Great Blueness a triumph.'
The staff at Snape Maltings Concert Hall treated the pupils like any other performers at the venue. 'It was really good fun,' enthused Palgrave Year 6 student, Grace Fraser, 'we had our own dressing rooms with lights around the mirrors and access to all the backstage areas.'
