Soccer match in memory of power worker
A charity soccer match in memory of Jon Cosby is to be held next month at Diss Football Club's ground at Brewers Green Lane, Roydon. Mr Cosby tragically lost his life after coming into contact with live high-voltage conductors while working at Sawmills Road, in Diss, on November 9 last year.
A charity soccer match in memory of Jon Cosby is to be held next month at Diss Football Club's ground at Brewers Green Lane, Roydon.
Mr Cosby tragically lost his life after coming into contact with live high-voltage conductors while working at Sawmills Road, in Diss, on November 9 last year.
The match is between Saracens Old Boys and his former work colleagues from EDF Energy, playing under the name Diss Electric Light Company, and the kick-off is at 7.15pm on Friday, May 23.
All money raised will be donated to the National Trust and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
There will be no entrance fee, but donations for the two charities are welcomed.
A raffle will also be held after the match.
