A district is once again gearing up to ensure it is the cleanest and best maintained area it can possibly be.
South Norfolk Council is calling out for its residents to come together once again for the annual Big Litter Pick and be in with a chance of winning up to £200.
The yearly initiative takes place each spring and helps motivate the local communities to take pride in their environment by reducing the amount of litter.
Cllr Kay Mason Billig, the South Norfolk cabinet member for the environment and recycling, said: 'It is great to see communities come together to keep South Norfolk looking tidy.
'So many children get involved and learn at an early age how important it is to dispose of rubbish responsibly.

Last year a record number of litter picks took place with more than 900 residents collecting nearly 2,000 bags of rubbish and recycling.

South Norfolk organises around a hundred litter picks during the drive and also helps facilitate even more throughout the year by offering out the use of its equipment and equipment funded by the initiative.
The Big Litter Pick 2018 runs from Thursday (Februrary 1) until the end of May and every school and community group that takes part has the chance to win £200 to spend in their community.
The council will provide posters and leaflets to every group taking part to help publicise litter picks in their communities as well as provide advice and equipment.
Once each litter pick is completed the local authority will also assist by taking the rubbish away.
This year there are 20 £200 prizes to pick up across South Norfolk and every group that takes part will be given a £20 voucher to spend on their group, charity or local comunity.
