A primary school marked its 20th anniversary year with a street carnival and traditional fayre.

Children from St Botolph's in Botesdale used their favourite books as the theme for their colourful costumes and paraded through the villages of Botesdale and Rickinghall, before returning to the school to enjoy the many games and refreshments on offer at the fayre.

Headteacher Mark Cobbold said: 'It was great to see so many parents and local residents enjoying our carnival, as all the children and staff worked extremely hard to put on what was a spectacular display.

'I feel immensely proud of the children as they put on a wonderful show and clearly had fun taking part.'
