A taste of summer came to Wicklewood Primary School, near Wymondham, last week when pupils held a fund-raising fashion show.

Organised by the Friends committee the fashions, provided by Carla Perry from Swanton Morley who runs online children's store Benchmark Kidz, showcased spring and summer clothes, shoes and accessories for children aged between two and 14.

With a raffle and light refreshments as well the total raised for the school came to 132. This money added to some already raised will be spent on developing the outdoor activities for the children - garden equipment, benches and much needed new maths games for the older children.

Friends chairman Marion Sully said: 'I feel the fashion show was a fantastic way to raise money for the school. A very successful evening was enjoyed by both the young models on the catwalk and the audience.

'Thank you to all the Friends who made the evening such a success and for all the help with our fundraising during this school year.'
