Two teenagers have been charged with theft and criminal damage after being caught stripping lead from the roof of premises in Long Stratton.
Police were called at 5.15pm on Sunday, October 6 to reports of suspicious activity on the roof of a public building off Swan Lane.
Two teenage boys were arrested on suspicion of theft and held in police custody while investigations continued.
In a tweet South Norfolk Police stated: "Two persons arrested in the act of stripping lead from the roof of a public building in Long Stratton this afternoon. More stolen property recovered when the detained person's home address searched."
A police spokesman confirmed that both were subsequently charged with theft and criminal damage.
