South Norfolk has woken up to a second day of heavy snow as The Beast From The East makes its presence felt across the region.

Heavy Snow and sub-zero temperatures have caused schools to close and bad driving conditions on the roads.

Police have warned motorists to take extra care on the roads.

They are warning drivers to be safe and to allow extra time for journeys.

The advice they give is to keep a safe distance from the car in front, be aware of how icy the roads are and make sure you are prepared for the drive.

They have also issued advice for any who has to leave their vehicle;

South Norfolk Police Tweeted; “Have to leave your vehicle? Please ensure it’s left in a safe position and doesn’t cause any obstructions. Stay home unless your journey is absolutely necessary so the roads are clearer for officers to reach those who need our assistance.”

There are reports of cars stopping on the A11 roundabout between Snetterton and Norfolk police tweeted at 6am to say the A11 northbound at Wymondham was blocked because of HGVs stuck in the road.
