Police are urging people in the construction industry to be vigilant after plant equipment was stolen from a site near the Norfolk/Suffolk border.

Police are investigating a burglary which occurred overnight on Brome Industrial Park at Eye between midnight and 4.30am on September 28.

Thieves forced entry to four commercial vehicles at the site and stole specialist engineering plant equipment.

The items stolen included a 300mm vibrating plate (serial no. LC3251116173); 300mm disc cutter (183296507); hydraulic breaker (130054427); 400mm vibrating plate (10721696); hydraulic breaker (B0049764); and 350mm vibrating plate (10950526).

People in the industry are being asked to be vigilant and anyone offered any of these items for sale or who has any information about these thefts, should contact PC 1638 Barber at Halesworth police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
