A charity football match involving a Norfolk kidney transplant patient at the home of a Football League side saw a team of organ recipients triumph on the pitch.
Doug Choat, 33 and from Long Stratton, took to the pitch in a side fielded by Transplant Sport UK for an event called Match for Life on Saturday.
Mr Choat, who has Alport Syndrome and has had four kidney transplants, was one of 14 transplant patients who played at the home of Newport County FC in Wales.
The game against former Welsh players and celebrities saw the Transplant Sport UK team win 4-3.
Mr Choat said: 'We were 3-0 up until the last 12 minutes when we run out of steam but managed to hang on and grab another goal to win 4-3.
'I think we got the message across very well to the locals and nationally.
Mr Choat has Alport Syndrome and had his first kidney transplant in 1994,
Mr Choat last had a transplant in 2010. He works at Duffields Animal Feeds.
