PLANS to refurbish Hethersett Jubilee Youth Club are going well, but fundraising efforts are continuing.

"Stage one of our fundraising is well advanced and we are now looking for volunteers willing to help us run a variety of activities at the hall

when the initial building improvements are completed

about September time," said club chairman Colin Wilson.

"This could include after- school clubs, junior and senior youth clubs, a drop-in club and anything else that will be of benefit to our young people.

"We can only do this with volunteer support and welcome help, however small it might be."

The hall will also be available for use by other groups.

Anybody wishing to help or wanting to hire the hall can contact Mr Wilson on 01603 810604.

The club is organising a slides of old Hethersett evening on April 17 at the club headquarters in Back Lane at 7.45pm.

Local historian Chris Barringer will relate stories about the history of the village and its people.

Tickets at 3.50 including light refreshments are available from Bunches and Munches or at the

door.
