Like many little girls, Chloe Green has always dreamed of becoming a princess.

But this week, not only did the three-year-old get to be one, she also got to meet one too.

Chloe, who has Wilms' Tumour - which is a type of kidney cancer that usually affects young children - was treated on Monday to a day of pomp and pageantry with none other than Cinderella in the fairytale setting of Dunston Hall, near Norwich.

Her wish to meet a princess was granted by Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, the charity that brings to life the dreams of children and young people, aged three to 17, fighting life-threatening illnesses.

Chloe, from Redgrave, near Diss, was diagnosed in December after experiencing excruciating stomach aches. Doctors found a large tumour on one of her kidneys, which has since been removed.

She is currently undergoing six months of chemotherapy treatment to fight the disease, which has also spread to her lungs.

Together with her parents Tracey and Marcus, her brother Luke, six, and sister Eloise, four, Chloe was whisked by a limousine to Dunston Hall, clad in a pink dress and tiara, where Cinderella was there to greet her.

She showed Chloe the art of glitter make-up and colouring-in before a horse and carriage rolled up to the mansion to take them on a regal tour of the grounds. The day closed with a special afternoon tea.

Mrs Green said: 'It was unbelievable. It was a dream come true for Chloe. Chloe's wish was always to meet a princess and to see her having such fun was amazing for us.

'Her brother and sister were invited to be part of the day as well which was lovely. She is very close to her brother and sister and the last few months have been very hard for all the family.'

Mrs Green said Chloe's treatment is going well and should finish in August.

Joanne Micklewright, Make-A-Wish head of wishgranting, said: 'The wishgranting team at Make-A-Wish are delighted to have been able to play Fairy Godmother for young Chloe and grant this special wish.

'To see a child beaming is priceless but to provide a whole family with memories they will cherish is an honour.'
