Police are urging the public to be vigilant after reports of suspected rogue traders operating in the Wymondham area.At about 10.30am yesterday, police received a report of two men offering to surface a driveway in the Morley Lane area.

At about 10.30am yesterday, police received a report of two men offering to surface a driveway in the Morley Lane area.

The first man is described as white, 30, with short blond hair and wearing black overalls. His companion was also white with very short dark hair and wearing a yellow high-visibility jacket. They drove off in a dark car.

A similar incident occurred at Shropham, on Monday.

A police spokesman advised householders to check the identity of anyone cold calling at their home and to always ask for quotes and references before work is carried out. Always ask for identification and do not let anyone in if in any doubt.
